The Furies makes up for its lack of originality with girl-power gore wielded by a ferocious Airlie Dodds.

Jake Wilson The Age (Australia) The effort to combine sermonising and sadism at worst feels hypocritical, and even at best has a vaguely self-congratulatory air. After all, many earlier horror films have addressed similar themes without being so heavy-handed about it. Nov 6, 2019 Full Review Richard Kuipers Variety The Furies marks a solid feature debut for Aussie writer-director Tony D'Aquino. Jul 9, 2019 Full Review Wendy Ide Screen International The tech aspect doesn't bear too much in depth scrutiny, but there's no denying the grisly appeal of this briskly paced carve 'em up. Jun 23, 2019 Full Review Ezequiel Boetti Otroscines.com If the ending doesn't land...The Furies still succeeds in delivering an intense and captivating experience. Chris P Unfortunately, for me, the anticipation of the film outweighed the actual finished product. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/22/24 Full Review Jeffrey P Gruesome horror slasher with a familiar plot in a unique setting with an original group of... slashers. The twist was interesting but more development and twists were needed in the ending for it to further separate itself. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review Andrew A Anthony D'Aquino's The Furies is an entertainingly blood-soaked calling card. A first real viewing as to what this director may offer in future slasher gore films. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/03/23 Full Review Jayme D Honestly just felt like all it wanted was to be as gruesome and nasty as possible. No story. No plot. Just gruesome. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/08/23 Full Review Chloe M not bad, I like the twist on the hunting sub genre, made it more interesting. not sure how much I believe the retinol camera implant, sure there's retinol implants, but I don't really get how the two way camera thing is supposed to work, and it's not explained. the end was eh, kinda felt cut off. feels like 3 scenes were cut and they just made the ending or something. again not bad, not mad I watched it, but could've been better, good concept. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review tee s Very scary, and extremely climactic. One of the best horror movies in the last few years!
