Audience Member Good film, but it fell apart from me right at the end when the son started stealing his godfather's art. Presumably he was stealing it to protect it from his own father, who was intent on burning all of it that he could find. But they didn't make that at all clear in the film. The film was dark and had almost no humor in it. That made it hard to watch. But I did find the North Sea landscapes interesting. The art, too, was quite beautiful, which brought home to me yet again how utterly stupid and devoid of any nuance Hitler and his henchmen were.
