As computer animation goes, The Giant Pear proves seriously small potatoes. Go to Full Review

The journey is a little perfunctory, and the fate of our heroes is never really in doubt, but for a Euro-produced cartoon, this film is a joyful ride full of positive messages for children. Go to Full Review

Bright, bouncy and busy from start to finish, Danish animation The Incredible Story Of The Giant Pear lends its buoyant exuberance to a likeable, broadly amusing and engaging-enough adventure that also doubles as an ode to loyalty and ingenuity. Go to Full Review

James P Jan 14 I love the animation and the designs of the flim and characters it really shows how magical it looks See more Yoyi Y 08/29/2024 Excelent movie, a great jewel of animation, I don't know why people consider it bad, I liked it, it has themes that are relationed with friendship, just like Chuck's Choice or Wish Dragon with two friends, with the only difference is that are animals, in those two movies, are humans. This movie deserves a lot of knowledge by opinion of people. Put it in Netflix LATAM, I hope, because I'm from Chile but I know english, thanks for reading this review. See more leio d 08/05/2020 A weird, misfiring, Danish animated mess of a film. See more 08/04/2019 This was, frankly, a disappointment. With the exception of the english alternative to the movie's language causing the lip animation to seem off as well as the character's speech, the rest was revolting to watch. The concept of the pear seem to lean towards a rip-off of James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl, the terrible shift from one scene to the next without much as a break between to grasp what was happening and the characters that either couldn't stick to their given personality/traits (or didn't have anything to begin with) or lacked any significance for the plot let the film down drastically from its purpose to spread the message about loyalty. With the actual character development/designs, this really should have been a short film or, better yet, hand-drawn to help perfect the expressions/movement of the characters rather than rely on the computers to do the work instead. Overall, the performance mixed with the execution of the plot from the story book made it almost impossible to understand the message it wanted to give to children, especially with the strange traits some of the characters owned that didn't contribute to much of the personality.
