When not arguing with her single mother, Diane (Michele Pawk), a precocious teenager named Samantha (Meredith Scott Lynn) obsesses over the identity of her absent father. After reading her mother's diary, Samantha discovers that there is some uncertainty about the identity of her father. This realization sends Sam into a tailspin of insecurity. She goes in search of two possible suspects -- working class Eddie (Lazaro Perez) and rich guy Robert (Steven Stahl) -- hoping to find the truth.
