When a donor heart unexpectedly arrives at a New York hospital, an organ transplant committee must convene within one hour to decide which of three other patients deserves the life-saving heart. God's work is now left in the hands of five doctors, including Boxer (Kelsey Grammer), a cynical but brilliant heart surgeon; Jordan (Julia Stiles), an idealistic up-and-comer; and Gilroy (Janeane Garofalo), a weary bureaucrat. This movie was okay. The story is intriguing, doctors making the life or death decision as to who gets a heart transplant. The acting was good. Kelsey Grammer and Julia Stiles did a nice job. The film lost its way a little in the execution. Threads were introduced, but not resolved. But all in all it was a decent movie with good acting.

There probably are not a lot of folks that will tune in to a movie about organ transplants so, a block buster it is not. None the less, this is a very real problem in healthcare. Far more need out there than availability. I found the film believable in the delivery. Good acting from the entire cast. Go sign up to be a organ donor and do something truly benefiting others in need and just maybe, keep big money out of the picture and save a pig.
