Audience Member Gave my heart to Jesus while viewing this movie on March 17, 1974. Loving Jesus more every day since then and always learning to grow and walk with Him! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member To Jason S. who posted this on Feb 28, 2008: "I'm glad he's dead. I thought he was kinda cool until I saw Walk the Line. What a loser. Oh, and fuck jesus too." You better repent and get right with God before you die or you will be eternally seperated from Him and vurn for eternity in a lake of fire. I wl pray for you/your soul. As far as the movie goes, love Johnny Cash, but like others said, Jesus was miscast... They don't know what Jesus looked like, but he probably looked more Israeli, not blonde and blue-eyed. Also, from the shroud of Turin, he was probably only 5'7"-5'8". I liked when he was carrying his cross he flashed-back on his life, it made it more moving. But in the end, when he waz dying on the cross, showing him dying over and over lessened the impact. It was certainly original in that Johnny Cash anx his wife were in it, but it was definitely a b-movie. Nothing like the impact of "The Passion of the Christ", "Jesus Christ Superstar", or "Godspell", just to name a few. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member the music was good, but, sadly I though it was poorly done Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I,LOVED IT!! THE MUSIC, AND THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST AND JUST THE WHOLE MOVIE WAS JUST FANTASTIC!! I,LOVED IT JUST SO VERY MUCH!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review ashley h Gospel Road: A Story of Jesus is an entertaining film about the gospel of Jesus. It is about the life and death of Jesus which Johnny Cash appears in and narrates. The music is excellent and suits the film. Robert Elfstrom gives a good job as Jesus. The script is decent even though it has some historical inaccuracies. Elfstrom did well enough with directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture but it is not one of my favorites. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A faithful retelling of some of the key events in the life of Christ. Told in story and song mainly by the late country music legend Johnny Cash. I was however not a big fan of the guy playing Jesus. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/19/23 Full Review Read all reviews
