Frances H An excellent documentary about a historic rescue and the brave men who achieved it, a powerfully moving story. The ironic thing was that the man they rescued and risked their lives for spent the entire time bitching that the European climbers could have achieved the same rescue faster--in one day instead of three. From what I researched of European climbing, the results are many deaths. The ingrate these brave men saved never even thanked them, and still maintains that if they had listened to him, they would have been down a lot faster. If Gaylord Campbell was such an expert, why did he need to be rescued in the first place? Well, nobody ever backed up his assertion and the rescuers got the Medal of Valor from the US government and the gratitude of the lady they rescued as well.
