Benjamin W Seriously contrived plot that made little sense in the end, and acting so distractingly bad at times that made even coherent parts of this film hard to pay attention to. If you're just in it for the jump scares? I still wouldn't bother. It's extremely predictable and the film has a habit of nudging you in the ribs and winking every time one is imminent. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review Mike J Sonic is lord king lord evil lord king Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/28/22 Full Review Audience Member It was amazing. The storyline is full of surprise, and the acting is just right. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member It'll be mostly hit or miss for some, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sure it's flawed, mostly in the middle of the film, but the beginning is great, and the last 20 minutes are a remarkable surprise (and outright tragic) as well as a nice change for something that felt like a generic ghost story. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member ugh; it started out SO strong, but turned out to be a bunch of people just dressing up for Halloween. not really, but that's what it looked/felt like. the story was pretty forgettable too. i didn't love it & i don't recommend it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member SUBTITLES. Not scary but has a decent story and a nice ending. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Noel Murray Los Angeles Times Writer-director Derek Nguyen's supernatural thriller settles confidently in a place between classy and trashy. Feb 22, 2018 Full Review Scott Tobias Variety A tonally calamitous mlange that's nonetheless compelling for its absence of caution. Feb 21, 2018 Full Review Frank Scheck Hollywood Reporter Although not particularly original in its recycling of familiar genre tropes, the stylish film should well satisfy horror aficionados while engaging more general audiences as well. Feb 19, 2018 Full Review Emilie Black Cinema Crazed The Housemaid is a film that should be watched for its atmosphere, performances, and attention to details. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 12, 2020 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse "The Housemaid" has its faults, but is a very interesting and entertaining film, that will satisfy all fans of the horror genre, as it presents a different approach to the category through romance and a very rewarding twist towards the end. Oct 20, 2019 Full Review Joey Keogh Wicked Horror Overall, The Housemaid is a nifty film, with just enough twists and turns to keep you guessing until the end.
