In this documentary, an enormous group of workers is suddenly laid off from Telefónica, Spain's government-operated telephone company. To protest the firings, the workers set up a camp in the center of Madrid. A community develops within the camp, and though the protesters fear their cause may be doomed from the beginning, their spirits remain high. After 187 days and a march on the G-8 summit in Genoa, Italy, a reluctant settlement ends the protest.
