Critics Consensus

The Incredible Hulk may not be quite the smashing success that fans of Marvel's raging behemoth might hope for, but it offers more than enough big green action to make up for its occasionally puny narrative.

Tom Charity CNN.com The climax is a bit of a yawn, but most of what precedes it is vigorous and sharp. Apr 14, 2013 Full Review Joshua Rothkopf Time Out Chicago Norton makes for a wiry, curious Bruce Banner. But you can tell from the film's tedium-inducing smackdowns that a different philosophy prevailed: the artificial Zen of video-game playing. Rated: 3/5 Nov 18, 2011 Full Review Lane Mills InSession Film That rings true of the entire movie. Jagged edges, cut corners, missed opportunities, yet somehow still charming and, in the end, workable. Rated: B- Mar 5, 2025 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review The film takes the necessary steps to balance action and drama, making each of Hulk’s battles significant for Banner and his continuing growth. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 13, 2025 Full Review Christopher Lloyd The Film Yap The "forgotten" MCU feature is now available on Disney+, and it remains an interesting if flawed vehicle for Edward Norton that might have taken the Avengers saga in a very different direction. Siempre 1 Amazing work but the pace and story feel slow sometimes. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/21/25 Full Review Darsh A The first 30 minutes of this movie was rather tedious. I watched this and kept on waiting for good fight scenes but they were just dragging the film. I am a MCU lover but this was not a gem from MCU. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/15/25 Full Review Goose R I watched the new Captain America brave world and seems to be a sequel to the Incredible Hulk movie. It was Liv Tyler and Tim Blake Nelson on a recurrent role. I remember not liking it the first time but this second time , seeing the characters tied in and learning more about the hulk real or comic traditional enemies , this one is more accurate. It feature Thaddeus Ross which later becomes the red hulk and the leader. Both are on both films even though they do not get super powers on this film. Overall I did like it 🍿🍿🍿🍿/5 on Max Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Hayden C One of the worst Marvel movies ever. In a CGI hero film the CGI is awful. You can tell a mile away as even things like the college stand out as awful effects. The script was okay and you can tell actors like Liv Taylor and Tim Roth were trying their bests. Edward Norton was awful in the role and so glad he was replaced. The pacing was awful as it felt way too fast and slow at the same time. Even the music was bad. So glad that I don’t ever have to watch this film again. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/27/25 Full Review Noe H I love the Hulk, and although the movie was decent it felt lacking in several ways. **Calificación**: __52% (Decente)__ Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 05/14/25 Full Review Read all reviews
