Gene Siskel Chicago Tribune A convoluted but not very credible spy story about Cold War intrigue in Berlin in 1955. Rated: 2.5/4 Mar 29, 2019 Full Review Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times I found the movie more intriguing than finally satisfying; because it kept spinning off-center, kept changing the rules of its game, however, it was never boring. Audience Member Good Spy Movie from the 90's. It's not great, but worth a watch. It takes place during the Cold War in Berlin. Campbell Scott is the lead and Anthony Hopkins is really more of a supporting actor. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Really quite poor. I love Anthony Hopkins but he really has made some turkeys. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member dull adaptation of mcewan's books. somehow his books were always better than the film made after them, cement garden, enduring love ad comfort of strangers. Will have to assess atonement then Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
