Key moments, including the unnecessary death of an intern, feel gratuitous and emotionally hollow. The final act devolves into chaos, offering a confusing twist and poorly staged fight sequences that fail to land. Even basic details—like laughable hacking scenes—highlight the film’s lack of research and care. Ultimately, The Internship is a missed opportunity and an action thriller best avoided.
