Alain E An unknown Italian melodrama that deserves to be resurrected. Well restored black and white cinematography that includes the exaggerated shadows of the period. There are some elements of comedy that are well integrated. The subtitles must have been authored by a computer algorithm that has not mastered yet the distinction between I, you, she and he. Mostly need to be read with the viewer changing the pronoun to what makes sense. Lea Padovani possessed a classical beauty and had a decent career, although she was unknown to me and Wikipedia provides no biographical information.
