After a top-secret experiment goes wrong, a hyper-intelligent invisible raptor escapes the lab and begins wreaking havoc in the surrounding neighborhood. When the creature's identity is uncovered, it soon becomes clear that a disgraced paleontologist--alongside his ex-girlfriend, an unhinged amusement park security guard, and a local celebrity chicken farmer--is the town's only hope for surviving the raptor's ravenous rampage.

It's bonkers and bloody brilliant in equal measure, packed full of winks and nods to classic creature films and ridiculous gags aplenty that match the overall mood of the film. It's about an invisible dinosaur, after all.

A premise this bonkers sounds like a spoof, especially since there are so many references to Jurassic Park. From music cues to name dropping Steven Spielberg, The Invisible Raptor wears its influences on its sleeve. It is not a full-on parody, however.

I honestly can’t figure out where the positive reviews are coming from. This is the worst movie I’ve ever seen, and not in a good cheesy sci-fi way. It’s not funny, it’s not entertaining, it’s an hour too long… it’s just bad in every way. I don’t get how people can give this movie anything other than 1 star, I really don’t. It’s like they simultaneously tried too hard and didn’t try at all. It’s nothing like Sharknado and not even remotely close to the same level.
