Nell Minow Movie Mom The movie shifts in subject and tone to focus on marital issues between Angelina and Vincenzo and then shifts abruptly into sentimental drama. Somehow by that point we still feel connected to the family and the conclusion is genuinely touching. Rated: B- Apr 13, 2025 Full Review Rick Bentley KGET-TV (Bakersfield, CA) What ends up being the most interesting part of the film is the casting of Estes. This is not a typical role for the actor and he brings some life to the film. It just isn’t enough. Rated: C Apr 17, 2025 Full Review Jennie Kermode Eye for Film Breslin, as so often, is the standout. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Patrick McDonald HollywoodChicago.com Typical Italian tropes (food, loudness) are mitigated by deft comic performances, especially from veteran Lanie Kazan and the grown-up Abigail Breslin. The heart of the story is a reminder that there is an expiration date on family and what they give us. Rated: 3.5/5 Apr 9, 2025 Full Review Read all reviews

Lidia T The Italians is a perfect mix of love, forgiveness and family fun. If you like to laugh out loud and you love your family, don't miss this film! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/07/25 Full Review Allie 8 The Italians is moving, funny, it's so good. Ive watched it many times with my relatives and friends, they enjoyed it as much as I do. It's a comedy with a touching family story how love transforms lives. Must watch for all! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/01/25 Full Review Judy S It is great to see a movie that makes you laugh, cry and has you rethink as a mother how we react to our son and husband as in this movie. I feel we all have our moments and our traditions. This movie will entertainer you and the cast really adds to the honesty and believability of what the writer, director and producer wanted us to get from this film. Michelle Danner was fantastic in "The Italians". Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/13/25 Full Review Alen K As someone who lives for a good family comedy, The Italians had me laughing and lowkey emotional. Picture My Big Fat Greek Wedding but with even more meatballs and guilt trips. The cast is gold—Abigail Breslin is hilarious in that “what did I just walk into” way, and the Italian family is over-the-top in all the right ways. It’s got culture clashes, loud dinners, and one-liners that’ll make you text your mom after. If you’ve got a big, nosy, ride-or-die family (or wish you did), this one’s a total comfort watch. Not groundbreaking, but genuinely funny and sweet. 10/10 would watch with wine and pasta. 🍷🍝 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/05/25 Full Review Chelda K Heartfelt, Romantic, and Truly Captivating The Italians is a beautiful film that blends romance, family, and culture in such an authentic and touching way. Lisa Visca tells a story that feels both timeless and deeply personal. The performances were heartfelt, the dialogue was sharp, and the emotional moments really stayed with me. A must-watch if you love stories about love, heritage, and finding your place in the world. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/05/25 Full Review Helene T La vita e Bella! Life is beautiful and so is the story of The Italians. I think we all can relate to one of the characters in this delightful movie. From the overbearing but loving mother to her only son who means the world to her to the Nonna who has no filter, we’ve all experienced someone like this in our lives. From the good to the bad, family is the most precious gift and no matter what, we do what we can to keep it together. I found the cast to be perfect and the writing exceptional. Lisa Phillips Visca knocked it out of the park with this one. I laughed and cried and can’t wait to watch it again. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/04/25 Full Review Read all reviews
