t w A beautiful film full of rich imagery and deep relationships. Yes, there is the thriller aspect, but it's couched in deep, Hitchcock-like tension. The love story of the couple will break and mend your heart. Highly recommend. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Felix A true gem. Touching. Main actors, music, direction, and photography are top-notch. I can't understand why this movie didn't have a proper distribution... Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/15/22 Full Review J L A beautiful, moving tale of true familial love. IT will bring on the tears but gives your hope for the afterlife, if there is one. The acting was phenomenal and real. You will fall in love with the characters and truly feel for them. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/15/21 Full Review danielle r This was a beautiful heartbreak of a movie. Not scary, and so sad, but I think there's a light at the end of the tunnel... Rated 4 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member This movie literally nailed it - hit every nerve in the body. Left me speechless and that is a rare thing. To anyone dealing with grief, watch this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member For the most part, I liked this movie. The actors were great. It gave me a couple jump scares, and made me anxious, and emotional. However, I was confused because it ended up being a heartfelt movie, so I wondered what the scare factor was even for? It didn't lead up to anything spooky, it just seemed to be there 'because it's a ghost movie, and it should have scares,' or something. There's a medium, but she didn't really seem to serve a purpose. if you took her out of the movie, would you have noticed? The ending seemed to have been wrapped up really quickly, too quickly for my liking. I feel like it had some real potential for scary material, but in the end they opted for heartfelt stuff, which isn't bad, but I wish they stuck to one thing instead of trying to do both. Sam Fragoso TheWrap Where the film falls short, at times, is in Pace and Coon's representation of grieving and renewal. Whether it's an issue in the dialogue or direction, the actors struggle to break outside the same emotional quadrant. Jun 27, 2017 Full Review Clement Tyler Obropta Film Inquiry Those who take a chance will be treated to a pensive, slow-moving story told almost as a play might be - mostly in one location, around three actors, forgoing style and punch to instead mine the depths of the human soul. Aug 13, 2019 Full Review Christopher James AwardsCircuit.com The film is a moving and emotional journey, and even manages a jump scare or two for healthy measure. Rated: 4/4 Nov 2, 2018 Full Review Roger Moore Movie Nation Conventional, sentimental ghost story rescued by beautiful performances and a couple of honestly-earned jolts. Rated: 2.5/4 Sep 21, 2018 Full Review Tiffany Tchobanian Film Threat The Keeping Hours is a hauntingly beautiful film that leaves a lasting impression.
