After meeting rich New Yorker Margo Thomas (Florence Rice) and seeing fellow ranch hand "Snifty" Edwards (Buddy Ebsen) get to head back East with her, polo-loving Texas cowboy William "Wild Bill" Quincy (Dennis O'Keefe) decides to follow the pair, with the goal of both wooing the wealthy woman and fulfilling his dream of becoming a great polo player. Along the way, he joins up with a Wild West show and plots to use the position to his advantage in his quest for stardom and Margo's hand.
