Serena Donadoni indieWire The 1952 El Dorado represents Williams' success as a songwriter and country singer, but it also serves as his refuge from an increasingly chaotic life. Rated: B- Nov 1, 2012 Full Review Marjorie Baumgarten Austin Chronicle The Last Ride squanders its potential, much like its tragic subject. Rated: 2.5/5 Aug 31, 2012 Full Review Paul de Barros Seattle Times Alas, "The Last Ride" doesn't deliver much insight into Williams or the lifestyle that killed him. Colin W An amazing human story of triumph over adversity movingly told by the main protagonists, that is to say Greg LeMond and his wife, Kathy. Add this to excellent commentary from his coach and main rivals, including the late, great, Laurent Fignon, to whom the film is dedicated. Throw in superb footage of the thrilling 1989 Tour de France (the undisputed greatest cycle race in the world) and you have a sure winner, which it is 100%. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/28/23 Full Review Serge L There are some value in the film but I would watch it while doing something else. Which I did. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/19 Full Review Audience Member Loved the movie. Very convincing actor playing Hank Williams. Kaley Cuoco was great as usual. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Meh. It was decent, but I thought going into this I would be getting the Hank Williams story, but instead I get a cliche, slightly fictionalized account of his last couple days on the road. disappointing. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member good old country movie y''all Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member While the filming was quite "fake," the story was interesting enough to save this.
