Audience Member The story definitely has great charm since it is based on a best selling novel. A rather typical Chinese teen movie featuring a cast of amateurs. The result is some of the worst acting I've ever seen in any films. Alec Su's directing debut exposes his flaws, as the film is full of holes and mistakes. When compared to other films such as Na Xie Nian, it is this aspect that Left Ear desperately lacks. Some of the dialogues feels embarrassingly awkward. The film is carried on by a good story with everything else trying to drag the story down. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
