Joshua T The twist is really good on this one. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/16/20 Full Review Audience Member For once I agree more with the critics than the audience: this film is better than its (very limited) commercial success suggests. The story of a soon-to-be stepmom who gets snowed in with her soon-to-be stepchildren doesn't give away its solution till the end...and keeps surprising even after that. The movie also offers -shall we say- unexpected events, not just jump scares, and all three major characters do a fine job in the acting department. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review AG Sad and intriguing. Well worth seeing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/09/20 Full Review Mr J Meh seems like the director purposely lagged the acting bc there wasn’t enough story Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/08/20 Full Review Mike Not a great movie! I wish I would have watched different one. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/07/20 Full Review Jesse This movie was very intense. Its not like a lot of cookie cutter horror movies. It makes you think constantly and question what you are seeing. Definitely a new spin on a story. It made me want to give my infants a big kiss when I got home because of how it ends. Dont see if you dont like thinking while watching a movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/06/20 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Becca James Chicago Reader Perfectly paced, each film places viewers in purgatory along with the protagonists. Dec 30, 2020 Full Review Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times Keough's work is so strong, so effective, that by the time we learn the ultimate fate of Grace, we would have bought into any of the possible options. Rated: 3.5/4 Feb 25, 2020 Full Review Chandler Levack Globe and Mail While The Lodge isn't as hearty as the horror films it desperately wants to emulate, the filmmakers have concocted a heavy stew of emotions, left on a low simmer. Rated: 3/4 Feb 22, 2020 Full Review Rich Cross Starburst With deserved confidence, this salutary tale takes its characters well beyond the point of no return. Rated: 5/5 Feb 6, 2024 Full Review Greg Carlson Vague Visages Franz and Fiala scale down Kubrick's more expansive vision, and the result offers its own kind of skin-crawling satisfaction. Sep 23, 2023 Full Review Manuel São Bento MSB Reviews This atmospheric horror flick is elevated by its outstanding technical attributes, especially Thimios Bakatakis’ bizarre cinematography, as well as the claustrophobic production design. Impressive lead performance from Riley Keough. Rated: A- Jul 24, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews
