Luke Y. Thompson AV Club After watching, you may well wish that Peter Pan could be re-copyrighted to be kept out of the hands of anyone inclined to make this much of a mess of it. Jun 19, 2022 Full Review Thelma Adams AARP Movies for Grownups The casting is amazing... But then De Paolis goes and casts herself as the namesake and granddaughter of Redgrave’s Wendy and, with a screenplay as awkward as her acting, no amount of fairy dust can help her rise to the level of her stellar cast. Marina D This may actually be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. It's unfortunate because the concept is actually really good, but the acting is absolutely horrid, especially from the main character. I would love to see this movie re-done with the same concept, but completely different director and cast. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/09/23 Full Review Josh H This is the worst movie I've seen. The acting is comically bad. I was reminded of The Room while I was watching this. Don't waste your time! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/27/22 Full Review Alisa C It had an intriguing start and a couple of mildly engaging plot points that unfortunately came to no narrative or thematic fruition. The movie took a nosedive for me the moment Livia De Paolis' character appeared. I went online to see how come the actress was so miscast just to find out she was the director herself. For one thing, she doesn't remotely look like younger versions and older relatives of her character, secondly, she acts so poorly that the annoying character traits are not softened by any hint of warmth or charisma, but rather, are aggravated even more. It's a pity the movie turned out to be a waste of many good, well-cast actors and a primising premise... Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/13/22 Full Review Li Y Bad movie, bad cgi, livia de paolis' bad acting, overall this movie is bad. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/10/22 Full Review Meta C I have never seen a movie so bad I sought it out online to review it. The story makes no sense and is not cohesive at all. I know it's based on a novel, but unlike other movies from books I will not be seeking it out to read. Why the director chose to star in it herself, also- makes NO sense. For girls supposedly on the "brink of womanhood, (because I suppose that's one the points the movie is trying to get across?) the actresses who played the "13-year old" teens looked and spoke WAY older than they were supposed to be. That could just be bad writing, as the dialogue was extremely stilted and felt like something that maybe looked good on paper but not in practice. It may be since the writer/director/star is Italian, and English as a second language can be hard to write so it sounds natural. But she looks older than Joely Richardson who is supposed to be her mother, and her accent pulled me out of any chance of immersion. I kept watching hoping it would eventually make sense or get better, and unfortunately that never happened. It was a waste of some great acting talent (Richardson, Redgrave, Glen, Carey) and an absolute waste of my time. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/25/22 Full Review Nicole s I wanted it to be over and it seemed it would never never be over!! Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/25/22 Full Review Read all reviews
