Mary P I loved the movie the very first time I saw it. I think Campbell Scott is a wonderful actor, taking after both his parents. Ke is very articulate and very intelligent. He is also extremely handsome and sexy. Watching his expressions during the showed a great deal. Not all actors can deliver to the audience what they are feeling. I could watch him in any movie at any time. I did record this movie so that I can enjoy it at any time. Yes, I am a romantic at heart. I’m pretty sick at the present time so, enjoying a good movie helps pass the time. The movie was well directed a kept moving. I loved the way Scott fell in love and the way he and Lizzie talk to each other while they write their letters to each other. They keep the viewer interested in the love story between Scott and Lizzie. I so feel sorry for Deborah but, am happy Scott doesn’t drag on their relationship and keeps her in suspense about where they are headed or not. You can feel that Deborah suspects something is wrong but loves Scott so much that she doesn’t want to believe it. Their wedding is just weeks away. How I feel for her and, disappointed for Scott (be up to this point) Scott is in love with someone he can’t even see or hold in his arms. Estelle Getty is perfect for playing the part of his mother. She is a wonderful actor that can believe in the power of time travel and love through the years like this. I just said to my husband, wouldn’t it be really something if we could communicate or connect with people from a hundred years ago! It would have been wonderful to talk to Lizzie (Jennifer Jason Leigh) who was wonderful as Lizzie, girl to girl through the ages and help them to stand up for themselves and be strong. Hope to see more of you. I was sorry your part in the Godfather C, the death of Michael, was too short. I always thought there should have been competition between you and Mary. I loved the movie would love a sequel. Mary Prouty Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/16/25 Full Review Sherry F This is one of my favorite movies. We all have different taste, but this one is so romantic, but very different than the normal romcoms of the day. Give it a try. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/13/24 Full Review Don D One of my all-time favorites--ranks right up there with "Casablanca" and "Somewhere in Time" as my romantic choices. Amazing acting--including Daphne Ashbrook as Debra! I loved the ending. Absolutely implausible and completely believable. Sigh. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/08/24 Full Review Audience Member So many fave moments in this sweet film. Hard to believe it's almost 20 years old! Thanks to the great Jennifer and her co-star Campbell for giving us die-hard romantics a story we can truly fall in love with. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I wanted him to end up with her as she was back then. But it turns out they were in love as past life lovers and reincarnated to love again. Was really touching. Music was stunning! Totally unique and I'm so glad they ended up with each other (sort of?).. With him being with her reincarnated self and she loved his past life. So she died alone and sad :( at least she found happiness in teaching and was reincarnated to be with him. Stunning movie! One of the best movies ever seen, don't believe in reincarnation, but what a romance! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member This is a great love aurora of your looking for a present and past love story. I saw this on tv And absolutely loved it!
