In an effort to better understand the link between spirit and body, psychiatrist Marc Lacroix (Gérard Depardieu) constructs a device that can probe the brain of anyone attached to it. To test it, Marc recruits murderer Michel Zyto (Didier Bourdon) and connects them both to the machine -- but when their minds swap bodies during the process, the killer escapes. Worried his family is in danger, Marc sends his mistress, Marianne (Natalia Wörner), to warn his wife and child before it is too late.
