Looking to mine for gold, greedy industrialist Bartholomew Bogue seizes control of the Old West town of Rose Creek. With their lives in jeopardy, Emma Cullen and other desperate residents turn to bounty hunter Sam Chisolm (Denzel Washington) for help. Chisolm recruits an eclectic group of gunslingers to take on Bogue and his ruthless henchmen. This movie was good and Entertaining for western and action sequences. I love the scenes from good and bad. It was good western movie! The actors were fun and good choices of portraying this characters!

By far one of the best and greatest remakes out there! Movie was not appreciated in its time as it should. This movie is almost the end of an era, a stellar cast driven story and adventure. As well contains the last best musical work of James Horner. The direction, the shot angles, the action and the musics makes this a High Octane/Powder thrill! The script stays true to the original material with a few tweeks and still engaging to keep you cautivated till the end, even though the plot is formulaic. All cast members did a wonderful job, but both Denzel and Chris presence on screen is magnetic, you can pull your eyes away from. Fuqua did a marvelous job directing, the sequences were magnificent and in some instances I felt I was watching a Sergio Leone film! This is a movie that needs more appreciation! Kudos to all!

Not the worst remake No comparison to the 1960 film, but at least it has a good pace. Lots of action, but seems to lack story depth. If you do not care about logic and just want something to watch, it is ok. imho
