Looking to mine for gold, greedy industrialist Bartholomew Bogue seizes control of the Old West town of Rose Creek. Better than the original Magnificent Seven but still not the same level of masterpiece as Seven Samurai, Antoine Fuqua's remake doesn't shy away from unchecked malice of evil men with some truly gripping action, brilliant performances and an almost epic-sized finale that's as intense as it is poignant & beautiful.

Killing certain members of the seven was unnecessary and even if they wanted to pull at heartstrings and show that sometimes the good guys lose, did they really have to kill 4/7? They could've gotten away with just killing Faraday (Chris Pratt) and that would've been enough because he sacrifices himself to take out the big gun but instead they kill four out of the seven and half the town, if not more. At that point, the towns people should've just left. Jack Horne (Vincent D'Onofrio), Goodnight Robicheaux (Ethan Hawke), Billy Rocks (Lee Byung-hun) and Josh Faraday (Chris Pratt) were good characters. I feel like there could've been a good squeal if they'd only killed Faraday off.
