Slag inadvertently becomes involved with lost young orphan Nipper (Dean Stockwell), who's searching for his wealthy uncle. Greedily hoping for a reward, Slag helps Nipper, but when Johnny threatens to have the boy taken away, Slag agrees to give up his rowdy ways and join the Salvation Army to retain Nipper.
