A Film Fan. A really cool souther gothic style drama. Lots of twists and turns. The film overall is a dark, lyrical, song of the south. Like an Appalachian wail, chorused by a haunting set of strings, where the lyrics slap you in the face with tragedy. I really enjoyed it. Powerfull performances by Jaimie Alexander. She stole the show, imo. Finally a film with no Superheroes!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/05/22 Full Review ant b this movie was really good and took a lot of turns in directions one wouldn't expect. definitely a must see Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/05/22 Full Review angela g this is one of morgan Freeman's worst movies ever it like the director took a whole chunk out of his character the movie had a good twist ending but another problem was the other bad guy who was Cole Hauser because he wanted the money as well and the ending just did not make sense some of the stuff in the movie was good but the ending just made it confusing and terrible don't watch it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Tammy Excellent. However what twist ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review Ken B I don't understand the terrible reviews that this movie has garnered. Don't get me wrong, it was nothing spectacular, but I do think Jamie Alexander's performance deserves some recognition and I found the storyline here (albeit a bit lacklustre) to be just mysterious enough to keep me watching. If you like a good WHODUNNIT flick, I'd say give this one a chance. Personally I've seen much worse! Cath Clarke Guardian Any minute you spend with this shonky thriller is likely to feel about 60 seconds too long: gone for ever, never to be clawed back. Rated: 1/5 Jan 2, 2023 Full Review Kevin Wight The Wee Review It might be of some interest for the presence of a sadly slightly frail-looking Morgan Freeman, but is nothing else than evidence of a brilliant career guttering out. An absolute dandelion clock of a movie. Rated: 1 Jan 7, 2023 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews This thriller is so bad, it quickly went to VOD. Rated: C Dec 28, 2022 Full Review Jeffrey M. Anderson Common Sense Media This shockingly bad murder "mystery" centers on people who commit crimes, confess them too soon and to the wrong people, then do the same again, with no plan for how not to get caught. (Not very bright, are they?) Rated: 1/5 Nov 15, 2022 Full Review Joel Copling Spectrum Culture As a thriller, The Minute You Wake Up Dead is often as imbecilic as it gets. Nov 9, 2022 Full Review Erik Childress Movie Madness Podcast A third-rate attempt at noir that keeps resetting its protagonists and antagonists until there is no one left to root for – or against for that matter – until basically someone just calls the cops and ends it all.
