Rebecca’s battle against the forces of evil isn’t so much all for naught as it is boringly routine. Holland deserves better. For that matter, so does the audience. Go to Full Review

Where the game’s slow build actually builds tension, Jeremiah Kipp’s tortured pacing drags the running time of 91 minutes over every filthy tile in the prep room. Go to Full Review

You can see all the ingredients for a wickedly entertaining chiller…But the too frequent “Let me explain” moments bog things down while the ‘dream versus reality’ aspect grows more repetitive than revelatory. Go to Full Review

The Mortuary Assistant is yet another video game adaptation that dulls the source material’s terror and ingenuity. Go to Full Review

The Mortuary Assistant is a horror flick that's dead on arrival. It's an incoherent and extremely repetitive story about a mortuary employee who tries to get rid of her demon possession by transferring the demon to dead bodies. Go to Full Review

John 4h movie was kind of all over the place. wasnt too sure what was going on and what i was watching until about 30 minutes to ending. See more Teal Feb 16 Acting was ok, visually fine but it felt like it drug on, choppy story and the pieces didn’t seem to fit smoothly. Had far higher hopes for this game adaptation. See more Ben W Feb 16 Worse than Return to Silent Hill. Way worse. Very bad. Very stupid. No. See more Alex Feb 16 I want to preface this by saying I am a fan of the game this is based on. It’s a fun horror game, and there was a lot of potential to make a decent movie based on it. However, that is not what happened here unfortunately. The storyline was really clunky and just blatantly confusing. The filming style was nice, but the writing and storyline was a complete train wreck. I am a regular theater-goer, and have seen hundreds of movies (good and bad), but I think this is the first time I have ever wanted to walk out of a movie at a theater. Don’t recommend. See more Avishai W Feb 16 My friend wrote this and I’m proud of her See more Edward G Feb 15 The movie has potential, but I think the AA meeting is unnecessary. The first act felt like I wanted to leave the theater, but the second half saved it by talking about how to prevent a demon. The complete flashback at the end was pretty interesting and makes me want to know more. Hope they make a sequel. See more Read all reviews
