Matthias Schoenaerts delivers a compelling performance, portraying a man struggling with his past while learning about trust and redemption through his relationship with the horse. The film’s minimalist approach and stunning cinematography evoke deep emotions, creating a powerful story about healing, second chances, and personal growth. While it moves at a slow pace, its heartfelt narrative and raw performances make it a rewarding watch.

This was the movie I was introduced to Matthias as an actor. An assumed simple role turned into a powerful explosion of skill by this guy. The movie itself was absolutely fantastic. I like the medium pace of the movie. I like the writing and I like all the acting. Bruce dern is simply an old grouch and was an amazing character in this movie. Definitely worth a watch. I only got to experience and enjoy it just last year.

One of the best films I've ever watched. Matthias Schoenaerts and Bruce Durn are spectacularly authentic. The viewer is sucked into both the situation and the predicaments of the players. Just wonderful.

I thought this was a great story although it was a little dark and gruesome at times with the setting in a prison, however, we see the bright side in trying to rehabilitate these inmates using wild mustangs that need taming themselves.
