Danny E This was the movie I was introduced to Matthias as an actor. An assumed simple role turned into a powerful explosion of skill by this guy. The movie itself was absolutely fantastic. I like the medium pace of the movie. I like the writing and I like all the acting. Bruce dern is simply an old grouch and was an amazing character in this movie. Definitely worth a watch. I only got to experience and enjoy it just last year. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/25/24 Full Review Richard R One of the best films I've ever watched. Matthias Schoenaerts and Bruce Durn are spectacularly authentic. The viewer is sucked into both the situation and the predicaments of the players. Just wonderful. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/27/23 Full Review John B I thought this was a great story although it was a little dark and gruesome at times with the setting in a prison, however, we see the bright side in trying to rehabilitate these inmates using wild mustangs that need taming themselves. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 07/18/23 Full Review Susie D Absolutely exceptional! I see critics who say the film is "meh." I say, these critics don't know what real mental illness looks like, which makes them tone deaf. It's a pity. The relationship this man develops with this horse is beautiful. Definitely a depiction of healing love for both the man and the horse. 100% recommendation! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/25/23 Full Review Mauro L (Mauro Lanari) Not wanting to shoot a remake of "The Horse Whisperer" (1998), this time Redford limits himself to producing a succinct clone of it but with the same power in the result by having it directed by a debutant. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/02/24 Full Review Audience Member Really great film, very nicely done, highly recommended. Matthias is great in his role.
