Synopsis
Filmmaker Ayana O'Shun and several acclaimed leaders discuss the challenges created by the image of Black women in society, from the hypersexual Jezebel and the amiable Nanny to the insolent witch. Stemming from slavery, the imagery is still present in media and its survival contributes to the normalization of racist and sexist behaviors.
