Ben Kenigsberg New York Times While "The Naked Room" may raise awareness, it often feels voyeuristic in less productive ways. Aug 28, 2014 Full Review Jesse Cataldo Slant Magazine By eschewing even basic B-roll footage, it ends up feeling even more stripped down than Frederick Wiseman's patient inquisitions, yet nearly as complex overall. Audience Member Extraordinarily powerful, though extremely tough going to watch these traumatized children. These are kids trapped in their own circumstances, in their own minds. It is extremely difficult to watch their inescapable heartache and mental anguish, especially for kids so young. The camera work allows only concentration on the kids faces - while the images push by, the viewer is no more able to escape the anguish of the children than they are - stories of crime, abuse, and emotional trauma - until the film is over though it will stick with you long after. Powerful but extremely difficult. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Read all reviews
