r96 s A forgettable follow-up. Given that 'The NeverEnding Story II: The Next Chapter' released six years after the original, has no cast carryovers aside from Thomas Hill and is missing prior director Wolfgang Petersen, it isn't exactly a surprise to see it fall far adrift of the great 1984 movie. The effects for the likes of Falkor aren't that different to before, though with voice actor Alan Oppenheimer missing the character doesn't stand out at all really - I did mention in my review of the first film that I felt Oppenheimer was a major reason for its success, his absence here only proves that. Donald Arthur doesn't quite do as well. For those onscreen, Jonathan Brandis' performance is actually solid enough - but what lets things down is his dialogue, a lot of which feels unnatural. Kenny Morrison, as Atreyu, is probably the only performer that puts in a showing that is on similar level to their counterpart from the preceding feature. With all that the case, I can't quite class this as good. I will say that I wasn't begging for the credits to come at any point, I just wasn't all that invested either. A standard 6/10 flick, for me. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 08/03/24 Full Review Pantera O "Books change, each time you read them" Bastian de adentra al mundo de fantasía para salvarlo de un mal que ha subestimado. Decente. Tibia. Dudosa. ¿Estare loco y no me he dado cuenta? Todos somos parte de la historia sin fin Técnica: 6.9 Expresión: 5.7 Efecto: 6.2 Experiencia: 5.4 Calificación: 6.0/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/13/24 Full Review Chris B Not as good as the first, but not nearly as bad as others have made it out to be in modern times. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/20/23 Full Review David W An insult to the wonderful original movie and an absulutely terrible movie in its own right. A text book example of how not to do a sequel. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/26/23 Full Review Audience Member I have not seen this movie in a long time till now. I have seen some of it but not the whole movie till now. I went with 2 stars for this movie, yea it's not the first one and it is way different/and has different actors then the first. Idk if I would reccommend this movie to anyone and I might watch it again idk. I don't think that it is as good as the first one, but I also don't think that it is as bad as some people say that it is. This movie may not be everyone's cup of tea if you will, and that's o.k. R.i.p. Johnathan Brandis. 2 stars. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review s f I never saw sequel when I was young thought my wife and I would do 1 and 2 while on Netflix. Holy cow is 2 bad. Absoluty devoid of the charm and imagination of the original. Total skip unless you just have to see it. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
