Alas, The Nun is more chaotic than most of the many, many films set in The Conjuring universe. To compare it to a ghost train would be to understate the narrative cohesion that habitually governs those seaside entertainments.

The Nun is a good horror movie. There isn’t anything truly exceptional about The Nun, but it executes the tropes of a haunting/demon story better than most. Like The Conjuring, it is a light, but very effective R-rated feature.

As a horror freak i finally gave this movie a try and at first i thought it was good but once it hit the middle of the movie it’s just went off tracks and left me confused, but the movie does have some good scares.

The only reason I watched this movie is because 1 Halloween and 2 Mexican actor Damien Bichir. Well this movie was really bad. Slow and not very scary. Takes place years before the Conjuring and they tie all back at the start and the end of the movie but it’s really bad 🍿/5 on HBO

A qualidade de produção é boa e as atuações são convincentes, mas a narrativa deixa a desejar e nos perde no meio do caminho. "A Freira" tinha potencial, mas esse potencial não foi o suficiente para superar o maior problma do filme: a ausência da sensação de profanidade de filmes de temáticas semelhantes, como "O Exorcista" (1973) e "A Profecia" (1976). A narrativa deu lugar a um exagero de efeitos visuais computadorizados, algo que sempre enfraquece a atmosfera de qualquer filme de terror, resultando em mais um capítulo descartável e facilmente esquecível no "Universo Invocação do Mal" (2013-2025).
