Everything we thought the first movie would be, only worse. Go to Full Review

Too much distance has crept in for The Old Guard 2 to feel memorable, and it shows. A convoluted, sequel-baiting mess that proves time is not a healer. Go to Full Review

There isn’t much of a story here. And though the sequel adds a few new faces, there aren’t many fully defined characters either. Go to Full Review

It tries to pack in too much and the main characters don’t get to develop very much. Go to Full Review

It really pains me that this film isn’t nearly as good as the first one. I’m a big champion for the first film, but the magic seems to have been lost here, either with the change in director, the film’s long time on the shelf, or something else. Go to Full Review

It feels like a film interrupted. However, I’m leaning positive for now, believing that the world building here can benefit a third installment. However, the third film could be far more Jurassic World: Dominion, and less The return Of The king. Go to Full Review

Eku E @Quiluette Jan 4 I really enjoyed it! Of course i knew this would be preparation of third one. See more Candi P @CpollittMetalArtist Jan 4 20 minutes in, and the change in director is obvious. Poorly directed film. See more Liam D @Mediawatcher2003 Jan 3 5 years too late which is a shame because I like the first film. the acting is solid throughout and the action is fun but the characters and the storytelling takes a nosedive with a set up for a sequel that I don’t think is gonna happen See more Gabriel @Gab.ldn Jan 1 1 hour 30 mins of nothing meaningful happening. It feels like this film only exists as setup for the 3rd film. No depth provided to the lore or immortal condition , no big face off between the expected antagonist and the woman she was mad at , main villain just felt forced into the story , no expansion on her backstory to make you care about her. For anyone who has watched the first film. Just stop there and dont waste your time with this slop See more Bayron R @filmaholic Dec 31 Honestly lost interest. Finished it because I hate starting something and not finishing. Did pick up phone a few times to pass the time. Terrible ending it was nothing like the first one! I don’t understand the need to end a movie like that. It felt more like it could have been better as a show rather than a movie. Final fight scene was so lazy, boring and weak. See more Renee S @ReneeScotf Dec 30 Nothing that we loved about the first made it into this movie… bad cinematography, bad editing, bad (so slow) fight choreography, all the relationship dynamics that were so rich and powerful were gone. There was absolutely no evidence (in their understanding, composure, fighting style, language) that anyone was more than 50 years old. Bad. Don’t make a third, just re-do this one.
