Glenn Kenny RogerEbert.com In a sense it's pleasant to see Nolte, Roth and Guzmán settling into their roles as if they were old slippers, but these great performers aren't completely outfitted to settle for Greatest Hits work. Rated: 2/4 Sep 28, 2018 Full Review Noel Murray Los Angeles Times Director Jonathan Sobol and screenwriter Stephen Kunc effectively replicate the tone and eccentricity of a pulp paperback but can't arrange all their good ideas into anything solid. Sep 27, 2018 Full Review Brian Orndorf Blu-ray.com "The Padre" isn't a sharp genre creation, but there's a compelling feel for the culture and desperation, dusted with just a little bit of humor to ease appreciation. Georgan G Got nothing better to do? This will keep you occupied to see how it all turns out. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/08/24 Full Review Audience Member Tim Roth.......I've come to the conclusion is very much like Marmite amongst my family and friends. I love the guy as a British actor. Thought this movie was good. The South American settings were terrific and the storyline was excellent. I enjoyed The Padre immensely. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Audience Member I’m glad to see another reviewer give mention to the young Valeria Henriquez. In the actual movie credits, she’s given 3rd billing, while not even mentioned here on Flixter. I enjoyed her spunky character, struggling to find her way. We’ll later say that this is where we saw her first, in this particular movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/15/19 Full Review Audience Member This was a very good movie with some beautiful locations in Columbia. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Frances H Maybe the plot was predictable, but it was well acted and the young newcomer who played the girl was refreshing, and it's ending was a happy one for this time period of immigrant hate. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/19 Full Review Audience Member Netflix DVD 12/1/18 Interesting movie, nothing great but entertaining. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/04/18 Full Review Read all reviews
