Du (Wei Fan) is a humble parking lot attendant outside a nightclub in Beijing. He's also a single father, looking after an angry teenage son (Zhang Weixun) who's seemingly forever in trouble. Du is courting a local florist, Xiaosong (Chen Xiaoyi), who claims to be divorced. That's revealed to be a lie when her estranged husband, Liu San (Jun Zhao), shows up, fresh out of prison. Liu wants to force his way back into Xiaosong's life and sees Du as a territorial threat to his rightful claim.
