Nota: 7 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 03/05/24 Full Review Cyn N Amazing movie! it was fun to see the main character grow and evolve. The medical aspects are interesting and very believable and the time period and geological situations are also really well written! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/19/23 Full Review Ivn If you haven't read the book, it'll seem like a solid movie with plenty of action. However, for the ones who have experienced the whole journey (which is highly ignored) of Rob to pursue his dreams, the film has taken a different path from the one shown in the book, omitting chapters and stories that, for me, would have been essential for a better result of the movie. Nevertheless, I got to say, it has a superb cast and production which also deserves some recognition. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 08/13/23 Full Review Mateusz C An exciting, brutal and original story of determination art and way to success Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/14/23 Full Review Sarah A An enjoyable watch. Visually stunning. The only slight irk I had was that when the main character travelled to the middle East, they could all speak English. I know it makes for easy watching, but I feel his journey wouldn't have been so smooth there was a language barrier. But having said that, I was grateful for no subtitles since it is a long film. I enjoyed the passion for medicine and the trouble the main character gets himself in to, plus there's a love interest. Peter Debruge Variety For those who miss the substance and scope of films like "Lawrence of Arabia" and "The Man Who Would Be King," Philipp Stoelzl's "The Physician" restores one's faith in the medium - if not necessarily one's faith in faith. Dec 6, 2014 Full Review Mikel Zorrilla Espinof It is a very recommendable option if you simply want to sit in front of the TV and enjoy an entertaining film. [Full Review in Spanish] Aug 28, 2019 Full Review Roger Moore Tribune News Service Old fashioned, absurdly overlong, but a lovely recreation of the Dark Ages and an entertaining ride, thanks to Ben Kingsley, Stellan Skarsgard and Tom Payne.
