Joan P I love Yvette, but I don't love Albert Finney, so this film had one strike against it at the get-go. Their lack of chemistry and those cartoon segments didn't help. On the upside, I saw this film right before my husband and I headed for the south of France, and the beautiful scenery got me in the mood for it. See it for that and Yvette at her pretty peak. Well, A Light in the Piazza may actually be her peak. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 07/24/23 Full Review Audience Member A movie before its time. Watch this for the avant garde Picasso animation and art direction, by the genius Wes Herschensohn. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member What an odd movie. Intercepted throughout the film are impressionistic art montages that are representations of either the previous scenes or the upcoming ones. The script is diffuse within itself and the art sequences fracture it further. The film doesn't properly utilize the talented Finney and the beautiful Mimieux but does offer many gorgeous shots of Spain. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member just ok rom-com of sorts. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
