This movie is quite the work of art! Makoto Shinkai's first feature-length film is so creative and unique, and the animation makes it impossible to look away! The story is so exotic and interesting, and the music was also a wonderful addition. This film is one you'll want to watch over and over again to pick up things you missed the previous viewing. It gives an excellent sense of nostalgia which made the viewing even more fun! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, 11/10 STARS!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 03/21/23 Full Review Audience Member a good movie with excellent animation for the year of production with an engaging story that makes you create a certain affinity with the characters and the situations they face Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member This is such a bad, boring, messy and pointless movie. And the characters aren't memorable at all. Easily the worst Shinkai movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member Makoto Shinkai's feature-length directorial debut solidly showcases his trademarked starts from visionary direction, soulful music, emotionally engaged characters and complex writing without a sensible base. In other words, it's what you would expect from an average debut of a storyteller who would hone enough skills to reach the most recent masterpiece.
