Extra thicc Him and the cobbler were cool, and some parts like the mechanical stuff looked smooth like CGI, but the pacing sucks. I'd cut half an hour, tone down the camerawork, flies, color filter, and rotoscoped birds, flesh out the abstract backgrounds, and add credit music. Recobbled Mk4 version is 5/10 - Meh. Iznogoud, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, Dragon Ball Z, Aladdin, The Lion King (1994), and Modern Times (1936) are better.

While the movie has pointless voice over and songs to cash in on the Disney 90s Money Train. This movie with its infamous and long history is fairly decent and at 79 mins is not wasting time

The most tragic story in the history of animation. Richard William's animation is beautiful and can leave most anyone speechless in its precise, almost military attention to detail. What Miramax did to this masterpiece is frankly unforgiveable. Disgusting. The fact that this was seen as a knock-off of 'Aladdin' is astonishing as the origins of this film trace back to the 1960s. I am giving four and a half stars to the animation and Richard's ambitious and original vision, NOT the additions made when Miramax bought the film. Just watch the 'Recobbled Cut' instead.

A masterpiece. The film deserves a remastered edition in 4K and Digital. The Recobbled Cut should have a 4K Ultra version. Beautifully crafted and wonderful edition.
