Robert Daniels RogerEbert.com By the end, you feel you’ve been given the run around for a merely serviceable story that’s unmemorable. Rated: 2/4 Oct 13, 2023 Full Review Ygraine Hackett-Cantabrana The Geek Show (UK) While audiences can appreciate The Puppetman for attempting to put a less tropey spin on the occult and possession horror, it’s lack of a strong direction causes it to just fall short from a well rounded and satisfying entry into the horror sub-genre. Jul 9, 2024 Full Review Bee Delores B-Sides & Badlands The Puppetman makes great use of its resources, relying heavily on character and mood to drive the story. Best served to go in blind, Brandon Christensen’s new entry shocks the system with explosive, mangled bits of grisly violence and gore. Rated: 5/5 Jul 3, 2024 Full Review Terry Sherwood Film Threat It is all engaging, even if the presentation is uneven from time to time. Rated: 7/10 Dec 20, 2023 Full Review Jon Mendelsohn CBR The Puppetman is a new horror flick that fails to convey an effective story or major scares. Oct 28, 2023 Full Review Jonathan DeHaan Nightmare on Film Street A supernatural shocker that boasts some of the year’s most brutal moments in horror. Condenses an entire season of television into an hour-and-a-half feature. Rated: 7/10 Oct 14, 2023 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Unique story that needed a few more drafts to get it right Rated 3 out of 5 stars 09/19/24 Full Review Chris P (DVD, 2/26/24, horror) Quick shot: The daughter of a convicted serial killer suspects her father may be innocent when her friends start to mysteriously die. I actually enjoyed this more than I thought I would. The premise, though far from unique, was twisted in a way that made it feel fresher than, perhaps it was. It was great Monday night fun! Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/24 Full Review Carrie M Creepy and suspenseful. Good storyline Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/24 Full Review ojzamed I loved this film. The actors did a great job, beautiful scenes, awesome kills and a cool story. It's very entertaining, totally recommend it. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/20/23 Full Review Julia A I'm surprised this was so poorly reviewed. These are mostly unknown actors, which I love to see in horror, because it makes it all the more real. I was hoping for something more for the ending after how much lead up to the climax, and also maybe a little bit more answers, so that would be the only reason for 4stars. I'd like to add that as a huge fan of the Saw franchise, someone of these kills still made my jaw drop. I try to not listen to reviews and give every horror movie a fair chance..so here's your reminder to ignore the reviews if the idea of a movie intrigues you! I'll definitely watch it again. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/10/23 Full Review Courtney K this was fine; nothing original but it was executed fairly well. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Read all reviews
