Critics Consensus

Poorly lit and thinly writ, The Pyramid houses little more than clunky dialogue, amateurish acting, and dusty found-footage scares.

Ralph R The Pyramid starts off with a glimmer of hope—it sets up an interesting premise in the first act that had me thinking this might actually be a solid movie. But as the story transitions from the first to the second act, things quickly fall apart. What could have been a decent film turns into a frustrating experience, with the acting being barely convincing (if at all) and the script making strange, illogical choices that drain the life out of the story. The characters make bizarre decisions that don’t feel real, and their emotional reactions often come off as forced or inconsistent. Some scenes made me wonder if the actors themselves even understood what their characters were supposed to feel. It’s hard to stay invested when the performances lack any real depth or energy. The cinematography doesn’t help either—it’s a mess. The perspective constantly shifts, and not in a way that adds tension or style. Instead, it feels like the filmmakers couldn’t decide what they wanted to show or how they wanted to tell the story. At times, I wasn’t sure what I was supposed to focus on, and that lack of direction made it hard to connect with anything happening on screen. Overall, The Pyramid fails to deliver. It starts with potential but loses its way quickly, leaving behind a poorly executed story, inconsistent visuals, and performances that don’t connect. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/20/24 Full Review Ar_WWW_panet U Paid to PrimeVideo.com, Watched the Pyramid twice, With no disrespect to cast of the fictional movie, this movie got both good & very bad perspective. Stop Trespassing private property, do the order of Egypt ain't got weapons to protect it's dead, or to respect their so called ancient Gods with food & homes. This movie contents not only disrespect Feral trained dogs, but also Ancient Modern faith religious name like Anubis, Sphinx, greed & avarice results gravely dangerous, extremely blunderous. So stop stealing Graves, Tombs, even archaeologist felt being dis- visioned & misguided, manipulated. When it is said world is completely messed up, f*cked up... This shows how people in control are loosing their significance. Bring guns this is the message movie archaeologist gives to plunders, against so called compromised military & weak dummy government of middle East Africa, being misused & misinformed & manipulated to their childlike, animals, villagers based intelligence. Worst movies, should not be making these scenes in movies, games. Needs, wants , greed could only be quenched through hardwork. What bad in hardwork, then go f*ck yourself. They could use tranquiliser, instead of Guns, could have treated those beings like injured humans. If someone promoting buy more guns , Guns are not allowed in all countries to be easily purchased by civilians, even all police & military men don't have permission to carry weapons, so put stop to excuse & robbing. - Abhishek, Kanpur 208027, India. Didn't like the name of website, why you call it Rotten tomatoes, looks like greed based or misguided manipulated hate. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 11/08/24 Full Review Adriana O Filme mais ou menos Rated 3 out of 5 stars 05/21/24 Full Review Ashley V The pyramid is like a watered down as above so below, it's nothing new in horror, which I could excuse if the writing and Dialogue between the characters was better and the characters more Intriguing. The actoring wasn't bad and it's far from the worst horror movie I've ever see, but keep your expectations low. The Most disappointing thing for me is the movie does have potential to be a decent horror movie in the genre that its Putting itself in, but in my experience, you can really feel when people put passion into something and this just wasn't it. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/18/24 Full Review Gaming U These characters are dumber than rocks. Anubis was the only good part of this movie and the rat cats Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/24 Full Review Kyleigh K Toxicity report 10/10 Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/24 Full Review Read all reviews
