Derek Smith Slant Magazine Mauro Borrelli's The Recall has the look of a SyFy original movie and the self-seriousness of Ridley Scott's recent Alien films. Rated: .5/4 Jun 14, 2017 Full Review John Semley Globe and Mail The Recall is the sort of movie you find wedged into an old VHS player purchased at a yard sale in the Kawarthas or sifted to the bottom of a mesh-wire DVD bin in a gas station somewhere on Highway 6. Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 2, 2017 Full Review Jason Best Movie Talk So deathly dull that the film has exhausted our reserves of patience and goodwill long before we reach the outlandish climax. Rated: 1/5 Oct 19, 2020 Full Review Mark H. Harris Black Horror Movies The effects in The Recall are pretty well done, but it seems like the filmmakers blew their budget on a couple of big scenes (not to mention Snipes' salary), so for the bulk of the film, there's not much to see. Rated: 2.3/5 Jan 8, 2020 Full Review Dann Gire Chicago Daily Herald The Recall is the kind of bad flying saucer movie you almost enjoy as much as a good one, just because it's so unaware of its own cheesy dumbness. Rated: 1.5/4 Jun 15, 2017 Full Review David Nusair Reel Film Reviews Just about the only positive element contained within the seemingly endless proceedings is Wesley Snipes' unabashedly over-the-top turn as a mysterious hunter... Daniel N Cool idea, the aliens are creepy but the acting was terrible. This could have been a low budget classic if the casting was better. The writing also wasn't the best. Have tried to watch this a couple times now and can only get halfway through before I have to turn it off. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 12/04/24 Full Review Sally P I enjoyed it. Perfect alien invasion movie for Saturday afternoon when you just want a movie for a distraction. Some parts were a little hokey but all-in-allgood. Definitely deserved a sequel. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review Tanya W I really enjoyed Recall, enough that I would love a sequel. Its a good alien flick with a story line that hold's through. Other then Wesley Snipes (who does a very good job), all the other actors are pretty new ( some better then others). It makes me sad it didn't get a better rating, it definitely deserved it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/31/24 Full Review Dale G It was actually good. Good story line but sure a couple of the actors aren't that good and should of been casted better. It definitely should of got a sequel. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 07/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Would of been zero without the good fortune for casting Wesley Snipes Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 11/12/22 Full Review Audience Member Its a good story, but the dialogue and acting up to scratch..
