Roger Ebert Chicago Sun-Times The Red Machine is deeper than it first seems. The plot has hidden levels, and so do the characters, particularly the unlikely team of Doyle and Coburn. Rated: 3.5/4 Aug 19, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member I feel like this is one of those movies you watch 10 time before you truly get it. Good enough for at least a second watch. And probably a third. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Between a 7/10 and 8/10, it employs a mechanism for telling a particular story, and it does so without a wasted movement. Yet everything it does hides a clue to something else - this is almost cryptographic film-making, every action having an apparent and an actual meaning. As the two work to find the Red machine, and steal it without stealing it, the key to what is going on starts to unfold. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Funny and exciting. See it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
