A large part of the problem is the casting of Chris Evans as the leader of the Israeli spy ring that set up the hotel. He is most known for playing Captain America and seems not to have put aside his shield for this film.

Really liked this. Well written, well cast and well directed. A nice mix of drama, action and good feels. Love that it was based on a true story.

The critics have seen too many rescue films. They've tired of so-called true stories and thus give this film a rotten rating. And that is sad, because it is true. At times it's edge-of-the-seat scenes making it very watchable. I recommend it. Verily.

The idea is compelling since it is based on real events. However the movie barely scratches the surface. The first part comes across as Argo deja-vu, re-fitted to Sudan. All the critical moments are present but sloppily done. The subjects of the rescue have are almost invisible, as they play no part in the story in any real sense.
