There's terror in paradise when Jaelyn (Alicia Silverstone) and Kyle (James Tupper) arrive at a remote seaside villa in Vietnam for a romantic getaway. A torrential storm descends, reducing the villa to little more than a raft and sweeping the young couple out to sea. Suddenly, another danger appears: a school of great white sharks. The cheesy (and at times cringe-worthy) melodrama never remotely feels authentic. And the ludicrous character blunders and the laughably bad CGI make the whole man-versus-nature elements impossible to buy.

Omg where do I start. THE WORST MOVIE IVE SEEN IN 2 YEARS!!!!!!!!!. HORRIBLE “ACTING” if you can even call it that. Fake/ cheap CGI sharks, water, ocean you name it was bad!! The iPhone was even outdated like a 7 or 8. That lady acting just needs to stop she was the worst female actor I’ve seen in a while like wtf please safe your money don’t go. I walked about hour into the movie I couldn’t take it anymore

People watching this expecting a JAWS- like story will be severely disappointed. Sharks are really only in the film for maybe about 10-15 minutes and even then, the CGI is so bad that you wished they weren’t in it at all. The only reason I gave it the rating I did is because i found myself thinking about what I would do if I were in that situation, it’s a scary thing to think about.

Really enjoyed this one. Just good old fashioned intense scenes. Effects were a bit low budget, but not distracting. It was good to see a movie with Alicia in it. A few good, unexpected moments thrown in there too!

Great movie, for sure. Evidenced by the scene where, in the middle of the ocean, the husband tells his wife to go diving for dry pillows and bottled water. Doesn't everybody keep those underneath their floating cabin?
