William S I accept the film is made from the Chinese point of view, no evil regime anywhere in history would dare tell the truth about their actions, but the blatant lies regarding the cause and course of the war put this film in a category of its own. The film starts with a narrator giving context on the history of the war leading up to the battle. The problem starts when it portrays the Chinese and North Koreans as the defenders, not the aggressors in this war. It does this by pretending North Korea never invaded South Korea, and that after the North Koreans were driven back across the border all the way to the Yalu that China itself was threatened in any way and "had" to act. If this film is going to be shown outside of China, it should have a disclaimer shown before that points out its most gross historical inaccuracies. I don't think we want anyone walking away from this thinking its anything other than fiction loosely based on a historical event. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/10/24 Full Review E. D Excellent film made of an incredible real life story of true sacrifice and courage! It shows the heroic soldiers of the People's Volunteer Army, enduring with an incredible resilience and courage the constant air attacks, while trying to save above all costs, and constantly rebuilding the crucial bridge much needed for Jincheng Campaign, in Kumsong. The end will leave you shocked, in awe, feeling much deserved respect and honor for all those brave soldiers. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/27/24 Full Review Read all reviews
