Jay P Nov 25 This film takes Daphne Du Murier's book and fixes the ending. This film was superb. See more George D Jul 29 I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. It’s categorized as a comedy, does start out as that, but is hardly that. Some might consider it a bit predictable (most of us like predictable really) but the story is endearing and draws you in. I sure wish life was like this all the time; where the scoundrel gets what he deserves. The acting was convincing, the relationships seemed real. Now I want to read the book. See more Rodriguez F 11/15/2023 Enjoyable movie, well acted good family entertainment See more Paul W 11/12/2023 An enjoyable fairy tale, well acted and well cast See more 08/02/2020 This is a quiet film that creeps up on you slowly, both with a profound charm and a growing foreboding. It juxtaposes big, global events with the minutiae of the lives of members of an English family. It succeeds in involving the viewer's own sense of morality as it builds connection and emotion to more than one of the story's characters. Indeed, by the end of the film I was quite ready to watch each separate story line. It's fantasy in a believable form. See more Read all reviews
