Alain E This is a fantastic movie about obsession, but it is addressed to about 5% of the viewing public and thus garners tons of negative responses. The only similar film I can recall is Osima’s In the Realm of the Senses, which similarly generated a lot of negative reviews. In the present case, a female student in medical illustration starts a relationship with a male radiologist. Their connection starts with plain old X rays, advances to medical ultrasound and then to full body MRI. They try to separate but in the final scene we have an invocation of the liturgy where we are invited to “eat my body, drink my blood”. For the persons who find this scenario bizarre, Tubi offers approximately 250,000 other options.
