Unethical rancher John Ramsey (George Meeker) is about to buy a big chunk of land from rich property owner Jo Adams (Virginia Dale) -- a transaction that would effectively run scores of local cattle traders out of business. Gene Autry (Gene Autry) wants to help the traders, and, with help from sidekick Frog Millhouse (Smiley Burnette), is able to persuade local authorities that the deal is bad for the community. But rambunctious Ramsey isn't about to walk away without a fight.

Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews Enjoyable singing formulaic B-Western from Gene Autry that's more interested in comedy than action. Rated: B- Apr 21, 2010 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member another singing cowboy western from the master Gene Autry Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member One of Gene Autry's earlier westerns is fair, certainly not one of his best. The plot is generally routine, some of the songs aren't very good. Still enjoyable. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Read all reviews
