Bobby LePire Film Threat The Snowman Trek strives to be an underdog story, set along one of the most treacherous mountain paths on Earth. But it is not interested in the place, the people attempting the hike, or much else aside from whether or not the end goal is met. Rated: 4/10 Jul 10, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member A documentary is often to inform about occurrences or about what lies beneath yet the Snowman Trek emphasized something more. The strenuous journey of Benjamin Clark, Timothy Olsen, and Anna Clark was motivated not only by their personal want to beat a famous record but also because of their personal reasons. It was enticing to see how every individual person on the journey made some sort of self-discovery and found something they were passionate about on the journey. It was interesting to see how they interacted with the natives who lived up on the mountains and how even their guides felt encouraged and motivated to keep going because they were so friendly to them. The true captivating quality of the film was not the landscaped but rather all of the flowing positivity and interaction with all of the culture around them. The emphasis placed on family and self-discovery is what this documentary is truly about. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member The Snowman Trek is a documentary that follows a team of extreme athletes as they attempt to hike the trail in record time. This trail in the south eastern region of the Himalayas is considered one of the most difficult in the world and is only accessible one month out of the year due to weather conditions. It's a thrilling documentary as the team members are constantly struggling to move forward and defeat is always around the corner. The cameramen managed to get some absolutely gorgeous views within the range. This documentary is must watch for any lover of the outdoors. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member The Snowman Trek is documentary that will draw you into the adventurous life of three internationally recognized runners and hikers as they set out to finish the most difficult trail in the world in the fastest known time. Ben Clark is the leader of this team, as well as the producer, director, and narrator of the film. There were several elements of this film that I didn't expect - the unpredictable weather and challenges the team faced, the importance of horses, and the role that the Bhutanese locals play in this kind of undertaking. With beautiful cinematography and candid commentary from the team throughout the trek, watching this will feel like being a part of the journey yourself.
